Everything in this catalogue was made in my own studio, Unit LG14, Baldwin's Gardens, Hatton Garden, London.
None of it would exist without Palermo, where I first learned, as a young jeweller, the techniques most of this trade has quietly let disappear.
And none of it would carry the standard it does without the years I later spent at Bentley & Skinner in Mayfair, surrounded by some of the finest antique jewellery in the country. Working under Mark Evans, the house's director, whose guidance shaped how I learned to look at a piece before I ever touched it — the eye before the hand. There I learned not just to see, but to understand what fine jewellery actually is. The discipline. The difference between good and exquisite.
I became an independent jeweller in 2017. Looking back, it feels like a century ago.
This catalogue is the record of the ten years since: the commissions, the one-off pieces, the ideas that took months to get right. It is, in every sense, the London chapter of a story that began in Sicily, Italy's cherry on top.
Behind every page of it are hours nobody sees. Pieces remade because the first attempt wasn't good enough. Small decisions no client will ever know were even decisions. Ten years of that — not talent, mostly, just love for the craft, and a refusal to let anything less than exquisite leave this bench.
We're sending this catalogue as a gift to the clients who have been part of this decade — and who helped me arrive here today. Ours has grown into a wonderfully large family of clients, and every copy leaves the studio wrapped and sent by hand, one at a time. If yours hasn't arrived yet, it will. Good things, in this trade, are rarely rushed.
If you'd like a copy too, a few are available for £15, just the cost of getting it to you safely. Sixty-five pages of patinated images, telling the story of my jewellery, and now yours.
